Terms of Use
Last updated September 2026. Questions: info@theviahguide.com
The site
theviahguide.com is operated by The Viah Guide. By using it, you agree to these terms.
Our content
The articles, photographs, design and logo on this site belong to The Viah Guide or are used with the permission of their owners, who are credited. You may share links; you may not reproduce, copy or republish content without written permission.
Submissions
When you submit a wedding, an engagement, a love story or editorial work, you confirm that you own the photos, videos and words or have permission to share them, and that everyone shown has agreed to be published. You give The Viah Guide a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and clarity, and share the feature on this site, on our social media, in our newsletter and in print, with credit. We may decline a submission or remove a feature at any time, and we may ask for exclusivity before publishing.
Paid placement and membership
Features and directory listings may be complimentary or paid. A fee never guarantees publication, placement, inquiries or bookings. Membership fees cover the period purchased and are not refunded once a listing is live. We may remove a listing that breaches these terms or no longer meets our standards.
The directory
Listings are reviewed by us, but we do not guarantee any vendor’s work, availability or pricing. Any contract is between you and the vendor. The Viah Guide is not a party to it and is not responsible for it.
Inquiries
Sending an inquiry is not a booking. Planning and other services are governed by a separate signed agreement.
Use of the site
You may not scrape, copy or collect listings or content from this site, use it for spam, or interfere with how it runs.
Links
Links to other sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
Disclaimer
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, The Viah Guide is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, its content or the vendors listed on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is the one posted here, with its date.
